I painted this still life while studying with Mark Henry. The subject of the class was painting a transparent object. He put the red Christmas ornament in the still life set up so that we could paint reflections and to add a little color interest. It did that and people seem to love that little red ornament.
The painting is framed with an original frame made by Mark Henry. He made the frame with copper accents to pick up the ochre color of the background of the painting. The framed painting is 16"x14"x2".
